Vintura has strengthened its team in London with Javier Vega, who joins the firm as a Principal Consultant. He brings significant life sciences and consulting experience to the firm.

Javier Vega began his career in industry – taking on temporary lab positions with Procter & Gamble before spending a year as an Industrial Trainee at Pfizer. In 2016, he moved into the consulting sector, joining PA Consulting.

Over a two-year period, Vega became a Life Sciences Analyst with PA, delivering external client work primarily within the pharmaceutical, medical devices, and biotechnology sectors alongside business development work including proposition development, proposal writing, and account management. He then spent three years with Eradigm Consulting – a life sciences advisory firm based in the UK – becoming a Senior Consultant, before taking up a role of Senior Director at IPG Health Consulting.

Upon arriving at Vintura, Vega becomes a Principal Consultant – a firm which also specialises in life sciences and healthcare. He hopes his diverse experience will allow him to bring “a fresh cross-portfolio perspective to challenge clients”.

Commenting via the firm’s website, Vega added, “I particularly enjoy dealing with complex problems that require a mixture of creativity, open-mindedness, and cross-functional solutions. I bring energy, enthusiasm, and a human approach to my work – I am genuinely excited by it! A successful project is not necessarily an easy one, but one where we reach the end collectively thinking ‘we did something great’.”

Founded in 2000, Vintura is a boutique consultancy dedicated to the healthcare, pharmaceuticals and life sciences sectors. The firm’s consultants support a growing roster of clients in the UK – since launching an office in London in 2020. The UK is Europe’s second-largest market for healthcare-related expenditures, and home to several of the globe’s largest pharmaceutical companies, including Pfizer and home grown AstraZeneca and GlaxoSmithKline.

Vintura is growing across mainland Europe, too. In May 2022, Vintura joined forces with Cepton, a likeminded consultancy in France, and while both still operate under their own brand, they increasingly work together on joint client engagements and thought leadership. The two companies are part of AmerisourceBergen Group, a worldwide provider of solutions for the pharma, biotech and medtech industry.
