Isio appoints Vito Faircloth as inaugural Chief Digital Officer

Vito Faircloth has been promoted to Chief Digital Officer of actuarial advisory firm Isio. The news comes two years after he joined the firm from Mercer.

Actuarial consultancy Isio is growing rapidly across the UK. With a national team of 800 people across nine regional hubs, the former KPMG pensions practice now provides pensions administration, investment advisory, employee benefits and wealth management services as an independent entity – and to accommodate this, it has committed to a spree of senior appointments over the last year.

In September 2021, this included Isio’s first permanent Chief Technology Officer, Matt Glover. Now, as the firm looks to further build capacity for demand in innovative business spaces, Isio has followed this up by installing its first Chief Digital Officer.

Vito Faircloth first arrived with Isio in 2020, initially taking the role of Head of Digital Solutions. In the two years since, he has built a strong digital and transformation team that has delivered a wealth of technological advances, including an array of bespoke modelling platforms, data interrogation and visualisation tools, and member engagement solutions.

In his new role, Faircloth will lead Isio’s expanded digital and transformation strategy. With his blend of consultancy and digital experience, he brings a blend of client insight and technical expertise Isio said in a press release will “deliver innovative solutions which are focused on delivering an exceptional service and solving client challenges.”

Isio’s Chief Commercial Officer, Ian Warman, said of the promotion, “Since launching Isio, we’ve placed great emphasis on our digital strategy and Vito and his team have already designed and delivered a number of unique technology platforms which are adding huge value to our clients. We’re committed to growing the digital and transformation function and Vito’s new role will see him continue to lead the team, driving exciting and innovative approaches to some of the challenges we see in our industry.”

Prior to life at Isio, Faircloth was UK Digital Solutions Leader at the UK’s largest pension consultancy, Mercer. There, he was instrumental in leading some of the latest developments in the pensions industry. Earlier in his career, Faircloth also held roles as a Financial Planner for Attivo Financial Planning and a Wealth Manager for Investment Quorom. He is recognised across the sector for his expertise, and in 2016 he became the youngest Fellow in the history of the Personal Finance Society.

Faircloth commented on his new challenge, “Over the past two years, we’ve harnessed the enthusiasm and talent of our colleagues to establish an incredible digital and transformation team that has developed market-leading applications in many areas of our business. I’m immensely proud of what the team has delivered, with a sharp focus on operational effectiveness and disruptive solutions that accelerate our growth trajectory over the coming years.”
