Deloitte has announced that Stephen Lashmar has joined its real estate team as a Director. Working within the financial advisory practice, he will be based in Manchester.

He has huge experience in advising both acquiring authorities as well as and will complement our established Planning & Development practice. In the North West, Deloitte hosts 700 dedicated professionals across its Manchester and Liverpool offices. Deloitte’s financial advisory practice provides advisory services around corporate financial advisory, M&A transactions, restructurings, business modelling, valuations and forensic investigations.

Lashmar arrives in practice with its real estate wing. Specialising in land assembly, compulsory purchase and valuation advice, the new Director will have predominant focus on projects involving regeneration, levelling-up and infrastructure schemes in the North and Midlands.

Speaking on his new challenge, Lashmar said, “Deloitte has an exceptional blend of skills, encompassing specialist real estate, financial and strategic advice to public and private-sector clients. I am looking forward to bringing my experience to the team and to deliver regeneration, levelling-up and infrastructure schemes for our clients across the region.”

Joining from Manchester-based surveying practice Roger Hannah, Lashmar brings more than 20 years of experience with practices in the North West, including Keppie Massie and CBRE. This has seen him involved in a number of high-profile regeneration schemes across the region; including advising the Manchester, Trafford, Stockport and Preston councils, as well as the North West Development Agency and English Partnerships. 

He is also a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer. As such, Lashmar has extensive experience in providing valuation advice for a range of purposes to a variety of stakeholders in the sector, such as investors, developers and lenders.
