HR consultancy GCB Recruitment has become a Norwich City FC Community Partner. The deal sees the firm sign a three-year deal with Eleven Sports Media – a sports rights expert firm which operates the community programme at the Championship club.

As the largest football club in Norfolk, perennial promotion-hopeful Norwich City is one of the most prominent sporting organisations in the East of England. Between intermittent spells struggling in English football’s top flight, the Canaries have experienced some glorious Championship campaigns in recent years – providing the club with an eye-catching platform from which to support local organisations.

To that end, City launched a community partnership platform for local businesses in 2021, giving companies across the East of England the opportunity to promote their brand on Carrow Road’s mid-tier LED systems and a range of other digital platforms designed to reach fans at every stage of the matchday. The initiative was founded in collaboration with Eleven Sports Media, whose fan engagement platforms – StadiumTV and StatZone – can be found at more than 50 sports venues in the UK. The organisation operates Community Partnership programmes at Premier League, Championship and Aviva Premiership clubs, utilising innovative technology-driven content platforms, to help regional businesses engage with fans.

Consultancy GCB Recruitment named Norwich City Community Partner

Previous additions to the partnership include RUA Construction Consultants, Cavell Healthcare, and In-Sync Finance. But as the Championship campaign kicks off again, after its World Cup break, the Canaries have announced a new signing – in the shape of GCB Recruitment.

A specialist recruitment consultancy for the property and financial services recruitment sector, GCB Recruitment was founded in 2010 by Gareth Broom. The company also offers experienced consultants across a multitude of industries including technical, engineering, architecture, and administration.

The firm has signed a three-year deal with sports rights experts Eleven Sports Media, thus becoming a Norwich City FC Community Partner. In this role, GCB will be able to share its message with fans at every stage of the matchday – reaching growing English Football League television audiences, as well as Norwich City’s loyal fanbase. GCB Recruitment will gain important exposure via the partnership’s broad digital fan engagement platforms installed throughout Carrow Road. This includes mid-tier LED ribbons, and screens installed throughout concourse and hospitality areas.

Other benefits include a presence in every official matchday programme, the club’s official website and its big screen. Beyond the stadium, meanwhile, GCB Recruitment will gain exposure outside East Anglia, using Eleven Sports Media’s customer-targeted StatZone content, aligning its brand with match related social media posts, shared via official Norwich City Twitter and Facebook channels.

GCB Recruitment will also be joined by other organisations enrolled on the programme at invite-only partner events, something Managing Director Gareth Broom has highlighted as an exciting benefit of the agreement. He added that the events represent a “great opportunity to mingle with the other Norwich Community Partners,” something that means the firm has already been able to make “some great connections and hopefully initiated some exciting business relationships.”
