Asset management consultancy Alpha FMC has launched a new retail distribution wing to its UK business. Attached to its British insurance services line, the team will help clients as they transform and launch new products.
Bradley Northrop, Head of Retail Distribution & Advice, Insurance Consulting, at Alpha FMC commented, “Through this practice, we hope to support organisations develop and launch new services, achieve transformation goals and grow their businesses. We want to help them satisfy future customer demand and drive value to shareholders. Ultimately, these companies are trying to demystify investing, reduce the advice gap and provide personalised and interactive experiences to their customers – and we think Alpha’s RDA practice has a pivotal role to play in helping them achieve this.”
Headquartered in the UK and quoted on the AIM of the London Stock Exchange, Alpha FMC is a leading global provider of specialist consultancy services to the asset management, wealth management and insurance industries. The firm’s new retail distribution and advice (RDA) practice works across the value chain to help financial advice firms, platforms and life and pension providers transform and grow their businesses in line with consumer needs. The practice will deliver best in class consulting services, helping clients with strategy development, proposition design, operating model optimisation and business transformation.
Stuart McNulty, Global Head of Insurance Consulting at Alpha FMC, remarked, “We are delighted to see the launch of the RDA practice and extremely excited about being able to offer our consulting services to an increasingly broad range of clients within the industry. Alpha continues to go from strength to strength, and our expansion of the insurance consulting offering – such as the RDA practice – will play an increasingly important role in establishing Alpha as the consultancy of choice for asset management, investment and insurance organisations.”
Forming part of the insurance consulting proposition for clients, the RDA team comprises both ex-industry practitioners, and experienced consultants who have worked across a variety of clients and transformation initiatives in this market. The team has been at the forefront of transformation in the retail distribution and advice market segment for some time, managing a large number of key strategic programmes across a range of clients. The growth in this market has accelerated the requirement to formalise a distinct RDA practice.
The launch follows significant growth in the Alpha Group’s insurance consulting business in the last two years. As the firm it aligns itself to the evolution of market participants and their transformation needs, the consultancy also launched a responsible investment practice specialising in ESG matters.
Alpha has worked with all of the world’s top 20 and 76% of the world’s top 50 asset managers by AUM, along with a wide range of other buy-side firms. It has the largest dedicated team in the industry, with over 750 consultants globally, operating from 16 client-facing offices spanning the UK, North America, Europe and APAC.
