M&A advisory firm Marktlink has kicked off its growth campaign in the UK with its first new hires, with both Alex Wilson and Hari Griffith joining from other consultancies.

Hot on the heels of its launch in the United Kingdom (the new office in Manchester is the firm’s ninth across Europe), Marktlink has welcomed Alex Wilson from Deloitte and Hari Griffith from OneToOne Corporate Finance.

“Both Alex and Hari have proven themselves to be high-calibre candidates with fantastic financial and professional services expertise. I look forward to seeing them develop with the team at Marktlink, whilst helping support our growth in the UK,” said Jonathon Parkinson, managing partner at Marktlink.

At Deloitte, Wilson worked in the Tax & Legal team in Leeds. The old Etonian had joined the financial advisory firm after his time at the University of York, where he gained a Bachelor in biology. “I am really looking forward to working with my colleagues in Manchester to grow Marktlink’s presence.

“To me, mergers & acquisitions is the most involved and exciting way that you can contribute to the growth of a business. By working to assist entrepreneurs through this process, it means that I can make a meaningful and long-lasting positive impact on their business.”

Griffith previously worked in M&A at OneToOne Corporate Finance in Chester and before that served Mitchell Charlesworth Accountants, where he focused on tax and audit services. He brings experience in all aspects of corporate finance, including advising shareholders on sale and buying of business, fundraising, and forecasting.

“I am keen to build on the skills that I have gained from my previous roles. Mergers and acquisitions constitute some of the most dynamic parts of the financial sector, and this is a great opportunity to be a part of a growing international team,” said Griffith.

Marktlink focuses on the mid-market segment of the deals landscape. The consulting firm provides entrepreneurs and small businesses support during the full deal lifecycle.
