National audit, tax, advisory and risk firm, Crowe, has appointed Martin Chapman as a Partner. Working in the firm’s forensic services practice, he will look to assist clients in investigation work.
In recent years, the West Midlands has emerged as a leader for capabilities in fields including industry 4.0, fintech and low carbon technologies – with a digital employment base totalling 76,000 people. This has attracted a growing number of professional services firms to its largest cities in recent years, while others have ramped up their team with extensive hiring campaigns.
Crowe is one firm developing its presence in Birmingham – and is currently looking to grow a forensic accounting offering in the city. Reinforcing its commitment to the Midlands region, this has seen it launch a new presence in Birmingham’s city centre.
Martin Chapman will be based in Crowe’s office in the Colmore Building in Birmingham. Arriving with 17 years of experience providing forensic accounting and investigation services, he has worked in the broader audit, accountancy and corporate services space for more than two decades.

Having worked with a range of clients including law firms, insurance companies, corporate entities, individuals in dispute, not-for-profit organisations, public sector bodies including the NHS, and government and regulatory bodies, Chapman’s specialisms cover the broad spectrum of forensic services. At Crowe, his focus will be to undertake expert witness work as either a named expert or advisor, as well as assist clients in investigation work and insurance claims where necessary.
