Atos has further extended its collaboration with Amazon Web Services. The latest move between the firms will see Atos work to enable businesses using the platform to advance on their decarbonisation journeys.

The Atos MyCO2Compass carbon calculator is the first solution to be developed as part of the multi-year relationship. It aims to enable the effective measurement and management of carbon emissions across IT and business landscapes such as housing, fleet, travel and workforce. It will feature industry-specific, pre-defined datasets, saving customers the pain of starting from scratch when it comes to measuring emissions. These data-driven insights will empower more informed decision-making and the calculator will be available via the AWS Marketplace.
Nine-in-ten companies are currently failing to comprehensively measure their total greenhouse gas emissions, according to a new global report. Even as many companies tout “science-based” net-zero targets for the coming decades, as many as half of companies estimate an error rate of close to 40%.
