Chua’s most recent role was a Director at NOW, Sky’s OTT streaming business, where she led the distribution of NOW via partnerships with telcos, smart TV manufacturers and platforms such as Apple and Amazon. She has also consulted for Paramount, driving the shift of the company’s Canadian business from B2B to D2C through to the launch and rollout of their streaming businesses, Paramount+ and Pluto.

Before that, Chua spent seven years at Channel 4, where she served as Head of Strategy – leading the corporation’s digital strategy in the face of the industry disruption from streaming services, in addition to handling regulatory issues, such as evaluating privatisation options. Other notable positions include the position of Chair at Freeview.

Now at OC&C Strategy Consultants, Chua will focus on clients in the media and entertainment space. “We work for some of the world’s biggest media and entertainment brands across TV, broadcast and production and magazine publishing,” said Mostyn Goodwin, a partner at OC&C Strategy Consultants.

“Kim’s combined consulting and in-house experience with the some of the industry’s largest players will provide a valuable real-world perspective for our consulting clients. Her appointment will allow us to build on what has been a strong start to the year and we are delighted to have her on board.”

Commenting on her new adventure, Chua said, “The opportunity to join OC&C is an exciting next step in my media and broadcasting career. Not only is it highly regarded by clients for its uncompromising approach to delivering quality and value, it operates with a clear respect for and investment in its people, which are reflections of my own values.”
