EY’s strategy consulting outfit, EY-Parthenon, has strengthened its partnership in the UK with Jason Spencer and Peter Renon, who both cross from Alvarez & Marsal.

At EY-Parthenon, Spencer will lead the Technology Pre-Deal Advisory team within the Transaction Strategy & Execution practice. He is based in London.

Spencer brings 25 years of experience advising private equity and corporate clients, and most recently was a Managing Director Alvarez & Marsal in its Private Equity Performance Improvement practice.

A&M duo Jason Spencer and Peter Renon join EY-Parthenon

Prior to serving Alvarez & Marsal, Spencer was a partner in the Transaction Services arm at Deloitte. Before that, he worked for Gartner, EY, Capgemini and BT Global Services, among others.

During his career, he has worked on 220+ transactions with clients across the globe in a range of industries, including financial services, retail, life sciences and technology, media and telecom, with experience in technology due diligence, separations / integrations, Day 1 execution, assessing synergies and technology-enabled performance improvement.

Renon brings over 17 years of experience of mergers & acquisitions across various industries and specialises in finding commercial, operational, and technical solutions to separating software and tech-platform businesses.

He previously worked as a senior director in the Private Equity practice of Alvarez & Marsal. Before that, he spent thirteen years at PwC, two years at PA Consulting, and six at CGI.

Renon is focused on carve out preparation and execution for private equity clients. He delivers sell side carve out approaches to maximise deal value and supports buyers to take control and exit TSAs at pace. In addition, he has delivered dozens of operational due diligence projects, across sectors with a focus on software and platform businesses.
